Critical Care Unit Registered Nurse - Full Time

To ensure the delivery of competent, high quality clinical care in a caring compassionate environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Completes nursing HX and assessment accurately within expected time frames.
2. Determines and delivers age appropriate care.
3. Delegates duties based on complexity of patient needs.
4. Utilization of critical thinking skills in prioritization of care.
5. Develops and prioritizes individualized plan of care.
6. Coordinates and collaborates plan of care with health care team.
7. Incorporates discharge planning needs in plan of care.
8. Documents interventions that are accurate, pertinent, timely, and legible.
9. Administers medication observing the "5 rights".
10. Administers medication correctly based on patient's age, and clinical condition.
11. Performs skills and tasks required by unit expectations.
12. Provides safe environment.
13. Includes patient, caregivers, and disciplines in care, council and health teaching.
14. Demonstrates correct use and troubleshooting of equipment.
15. Evaluates the efficacy of plan of care.
16. Modifies based on patient's current condition.
17. Ability to supervise staff member who provide direct patient care.
18. Provides health care at the best value without compromising patient care.
19. Responsible and accountable for all actions.
20. Practices within the scope of license.
21. Able to charge PP floor.

Required Skills:

Minimum Education:

Graduate of an Approved School of Nursing.

Required Licenses:

Registered Nurses
Licensed in State of Kentucky or compact state.

BLS certification – American Heart Association (Healthcare Provider) or American Red Cross (Healthcare Provider) required, must be current.

ACLS Certification required, must be current.

Required Experience:

Minimum Work Experience:

Background in critical care preferred.
