Memorial Medical Center in Las Cruces, New Mexico, is seeking a Program Medical Director to lead its Critical Care team. - Co-management with CT surgeon and hospitalists for downgraded patients.
- Average Daily Census (ADC) estimated 7-10 during Summer and 10-14 during Winter.
- Tele-Critical Care support provided during surge periods.
Responsibilities
- Lead and build a cohesive team at Memorial Regional Medical Center.
- Lead the Intensivist program at Memorial Medical Center.
- Provide care to patients in the 32-bed ICU in conjunction with the CT surgeon for co-management and hospitalists for downgraded patients in the unit.
- Perform all technical skills in the critical care setting.
- Work collaboratively within the ICU with all team members and across the hospital.
Compensation
- Competitive shift-based compensation package plus a director stipend.
- $75,000 commencement bonus with 2-year commitment.
Shift & Schedule
- 12-hour on-site day shift.
- Nights covered by the in-house APP with tele.
- The Program Medical Director works 12 clinical shifts per month plus administrative duties.
- The director can work more clinically if desired.
Requirements
- Physicians must be board-certified in Critical Care medicine.
- An active New Mexico license is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of post-fellowship critical care experience.
- Prior leadership experience a plus, but not required.
- A commitment to excellence in clinical service, with strong problem-solving abilities essential for the ICU setting.
