Critical Care Physician

Mount Sinai South Nassau is seeking a full-time Critical Care Physician to join their award-winning, acute care, not-for-profit teaching hospital in Oceanside, New York. This role involves providing critical care to patients in the Intensive Care Units and supervising housestaff, contributing to a collaborative and collegial work environment. The successful candidate will be a highly collaborative clinician with a passion for acute care and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Units
• Supervise housestaff
• Evaluate patients who may require critical care when called by the Emergency Department or other inpatient units
• Conduct consultations for emergencies in other critical care units
• Lead emergency responses
• Supervise medical housestaff in Medical Code, Rapid Response, and Sepsis Code Teams

Compensation

• Compensation range from $300,000 to $375,000 (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits)
• The salary range listed is for full-time employment and does not include bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits

Requirements

• Medical degree from an accredited university
• New York State Medical License
• BE or BC in Critical Care Medicine
