PeaceHealth is seeking a dedicated Intensivist to join their team in Eugene-Springfield. Practice Info

  • Join a team of 8 intensivists & 4 APPs.
  • PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center Riverbend is a 351-bed state-of-the-art regional medical center and level II trauma center.
  • The practice handles diverse cases and high acuity, caring for all types of critically ill patients, excluding transplants and burns.
  • Work closely with colleagues in other departments to ensure smooth transitions of care.
  • Team members are active in several committees including stroke, sepsis, and practice guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Care for medical, surgical, neuro, and cardiac ICU patients.
  • Work collaboratively with daytime intensivists, APP’s, nursing staff, respiratory therapists, consultants, and hospitalist team to deliver high-quality, evidence-based critical care services.
  • Utilize EPIC EMR.

Compensation

  • Comprehensive compensation package including commencement bonus, relocation, CME allowance, 401k match, and health insurance.
  • Full-time intensivists pay is $487,200 working 168 shifts annually.

Shift & Schedule

  • 14 clinical shifts per month with roughly 1/3 night shifts.
  • 2 intensivists & 2 APP’s on 12-hour day shift (7AM-7PM).
  • Nights are covered by 2 intensivists (7PM-7AM).
  • The schedule is managed as equitably as possible, ensuring intensivists achieve an outstanding work/family life balance.

Requirements

  • Board-certified or board-eligible critical care physicians (MD or DO).
  • Ability to perform all technical skills in the critical care setting.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within the ICU with all team members and across the hospital.
  • A commitment to excellence in clinical service, with strong problem-solving abilities essential for the ICU setting.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • Not considering 2027 fellows at this time.
