Providence St John’s in Santa Monica is seeking a Full-Time Intensivist to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive critical care in a state-of-the-art community hospital, serving a high-acuity patient population. - Providence St John’s is a 266-bed state-of-the-art community hospital, comprehensive stroke center, and designated STEMI receiving center.
- The hospital has a full range of cardiovascular services and is home to the John Wayne Cancer Institute.
- The 23-bed closed ICU sees all types of critically ill patients, including medical, surgical, neuro, and cardiovascular, with high acuity and complexity.
- The average daily census is between 4-10 patients per Intensivist per day.
- The ICU utilizes advanced circulatory support (VA/VV ECMO, Impella 5.5).
- Surgical oncology fellows and Critical Care fellows from UCR rotate in the ICU.
Responsibilities
- Care for the full spectrum of critically ill patients.
- Work collaboratively with daytime intensivists, nursing staff, respiratory therapists, consultants, and hospitalist team to deliver high-quality, evidence-based critical care services.
- Perform all technical skills in the critical care setting.
- Teach fellows at the bedside.
- Utilize EMR: EPIC.
Compensation
- Competitive compensation of $215 per hour.

Requirements
- Board-certified or board-eligible critical care physicians (MD or DO).
- A commitment to excellence in clinical service, with strong problem-solving abilities essential for the ICU setting.
- Active California medical license.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Not considering 2027 Fellows at this time.
