This role offers a unique call-free schedule with 12-hour shifts, primarily during the day, providing care to critically ill patients in the Medical Intensive Care unit. Practice Info
- The Critical Care service provides care to critically ill patients in the Medical Intensive Care unit.
- The service cares for patients 16 and older with organ dysfunction.
Responsibilities
- Provide common interventions, treatments, and procedures to critically ill patients.
- Perform history and physical examinations.
- Admit, evaluate, and diagnose critically ill patients.
- Provide treatment or consultative services to critically ill patients.
Compensation
- Nationally competitive hourly salary with a night differential.
- No State Income Tax.

Shift & Schedule
- Unique call free schedule.
- 12-hr shifts between 7a-7p.
- May cover night shifts on occasion.
Requirements
- Fellowship trained in Critical Care.
- BC/BE Critical Care-Intensivist.
- M.D. or D.O. degree.
- Successful completion of a postgraduate training program in the relevant medical specialty and successful completion of a fellowship program specializing in Critical Care Medicine or Neurocritical Care that is accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada or the United Council for Neurologic Subspecialty.
- Certification by the appropriate specialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or the United Council for Neurologic Subspecialties (UCNS), as applicable.
- H-1B visa sponsorship available.
- For applicants not applying directly out of a residency/fellowship: provide a quality profile from hospital(s) where he/she currently has privileges showing his/her clinical activity for the past 12 months, including numbers of procedures performed morbidity, mortality, infection rates, and other complications.
- For applicants not applying directly out of a residency/fellowship: must be able to demonstrate active involvement in the Critical Care services of at least 25 patients in the last 12 months.
