This inpatient facility manages a 42-bed mixed ICU encompassing medical/surgical, neuro, ECMO, and post open heart services, and does not include trauma. The facility maintains a fully staffed multidisciplinary team, including mid-level clinicians, nursing, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, physical therapy, nutrition, and case management, to support the delivery of specialized critical care services. Locum tenens coverage is sought beginning September on an ongoing basis to ensure continuity of clinical operations.

North Florida offers a range of outdoor activities suited to varied interests, including hiking, kayaking, canoeing, and wildlife observation at natural springs, state parks, and along the Suwannee River Wilderness Trail. The region includes Florida Caverns State Park, where guided underground cave tours and shaded trails are available, as well as open-air museums featuring native wildlife and history exhibits. Clinicians on assignment will also find opportunities for bird watching, saltwater paddling, and wildlife photography across the area's parks and preserves.

About the Clinician's Workday

The clinician will provide critical care coverage during day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with some weekend days and the occasional night shift, at an inpatient facility in Florida. Coverage responsibilities span a 42-bed mixed ICU that includes medical/surgical, neuro, ECMO, and post open heart cases; no trauma is present at this facility. The clinician will perform standard ICU procedures and deliver intensive monitoring and management of critically ill adult patients throughout each assigned shift. No call responsibilities are associated with this assignment.
