Crisis Operations SpecialistSchedule: Every other Wednesday, Every Thursday - Saturday from 6:45 am to 7:15 pmLocation: Wednesdays and Saturdays - remote from home. Thursdays and Fridays - in-office at the Tempe Clinic.A Crisis Operations Specialist will be responsible for ensuring timely distribution of dispatch requests from all contracted hospitals to crisis counselors, coordination of patient transfer from the current hospital facility, and communication with outside agencies to provide the appropriate level of care for each client.At CPR, we are committed to making diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging an integral part of our daily operations. We strive to hire and retain talented, diverse, and creative individuals, and we are dedicated to ensuring equitable treatment by promoting fairness and respect at every level of our organization.Knowledge and SkillsCommunication must be professional, clear, calm, and sensitive at all timesDemonstrate superb multi-tasking skills to effectively accomplish multiple competing tasksMaintain phone and computer handling skillsHigh-level attention to detail and accuracyTyping by touch skills are necessary in order to properly documentCustomer service and/or crisis background, maintain email etiquette, must be able to work effectively both independently and as a member of a growing teamActs ethically and honestly and applies those behaviors to daily work activitiesPrimary Duties and ResponsibilitiesAnswer all calls in a timely and professional mannerDistribute dispatch requests to crisis counselors fairly and in a timely mannerDistribute patient referral packets to receiving facilities via electronic fax as neededAddress customer concerns in a professional mannerCommunicate with team members, other internal staff, and outside sources to ensure the best coordination of care for each individualComplete follow up on transfer board regularly throughout each shiftUpdate hospital staff regarding status of patient transfer regularly throughout each shiftDocumentation of all coordinationGather new client demographic information and document accurately in the appropriate formatAssess callers for danger to self/danger to others and determine the appropriate course of actionConduct screens for new, or existing, clients to help get them scheduled and/or connected with appropriate servicesAdhere to HIPAA privacy and confidentiality regulations and guidelinesReliable and predictable attendance is an essential job function.Other duties as assignedQualifications and Education RequirementsAssociate's degree or bachelor's degree preferredQualify as a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT)
