Providing compassionate crisis support, the part-time National Sexual Assault Hotline (NSAH) Volunteer will answer online chats from survivors of sexual assault and their loved ones, utilizing crisis intervention best practices while working remotely. Key responsibilities Utilize crisis intervention techniques to support hotline users and provide accurate referrals Complete ongoing training and maintain knowledge of RAINN's policies and protocols Participate in data collection and session assessments during shifts Required qualifications Tech-savvy with experience in instant messaging and digital communication platforms Ability to type at least 35 words per minute Experience working with vulnerable populations or in crisis intervention Willingness to work a non-traditional schedule, including evenings and weekends Resiliently positive attitude with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
