A law firm in Madera, CA is seeking a motivated and ambitious Criminal Defense Attorney to join their team. This role involves handling a range of criminal matters. While prior experience in criminal law or dependency law is not required, new Bar passers are encouraged to apply. Duties and Responsibilities

• Represent clients in criminal defense cases, including pre-trial, trial, and post-trial matters.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support case preparation and strategy.
• Prepare and file legal documents, such as motions, briefs, and pleadings.
• Provide legal counsel and advice to clients on criminal charges and potential defenses.
• Negotiate settlements and plea deals with opposing counsel and prosecutors.
• Advocate on behalf of clients during court appearances and hearings.
• Develop case strategies and ensure the effective presentation of evidence.
• Stay informed about changes in criminal law and legal precedents.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Recent law school graduates and new Bar passers are encouraged to apply.

Education
