Duties
- Represent clients in criminal defense and family law matters throughout Maryland.
- Handle criminal cases from consultation through trial and post-trial proceedings.
- Manage family law cases, including divorce and custody hearings.
- Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategies.
- Advise clients on legal options and potential outcomes.
- Prepare legal documents and filings.
- Appear in court for various proceedings.
- Negotiate with opposing parties to advance client interests.
- Maintain organized records and meet deadlines.
- Stay informed on Maryland criminal and family law developments.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in good standing with the Maryland Bar.
- Substantial courtroom and litigation experience.
- Experience with at least ten jury trials preferred.
- Criminal defense or comparable trial experience required.
- Family law experience strongly preferred.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage a substantial caseload and deadlines.
- Professional, organized, and responsive demeanor.
- Willingness to travel to courthouses throughout Maryland.
Education
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications
