Ideal for attorneys seeking hands-on litigation experience, independent case management, and exposure to consumer law and regulatory matters.ResponsibilitiesManage a caseload of litigation matters from inception through resolution, including strategy development and case analysisConduct written discovery, draft interrogatories and requests for production, and manage document review processesTake and defend depositions, including preparing witnesses and analyzing testimonyDraft, file, and argue discovery motions, dispositive motions, and other pleadings in federal and state courtsRepresent clients in hearings, settlement conferences, mediations, and trial proceedingsEvaluate cases for liability exposure, settlement value, and likelihood of success at trial or through dispositive motionsNegotiate settlements with opposing counsel and participate in alternative dispute resolution processesCommunicate effectively with clients, co-counsel, opposing counsel, and internal legal teams to ensure efficient case handlingDevelop an understanding of client operations to provide proactive legal guidance and mitigate litigation riskTravel as needed for court appearances, depositions, and client meetingsQualificationsJuris Doctor from an accredited law schoolActive bar admission in at least one U.S.

jurisdiction, such as California, Texas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Minnesota, Missouri, or Nevada5 to 10 years of litigation experience, including federal court practice and civil litigation proceduresStrong experience with motion practice, discovery, depositions, and trial preparationKnowledge of consumer protection laws, including Fair Credit Reporting Act FCRA and related regulationsExcellent legal research, writing, and analytical skillsStrong verbal communication and courtroom advocacy abilitiesAbility to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced legal environment with minimal supervisionHigh attention to detail and strong organizational skillsDesired QualificationsExperience handling consumer law, regulatory compliance, or financial services litigationProven ability to independently manage complex litigation files and meet deadlinesStrong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional legal teamsExperience with settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution strategiesDemonstrated ability to work as a self-starter in a high-performance legal environmentInterest in professional development, including legal writing, speaking engagements, or thought leadership opportunities
