About The Role
We are looking for a Travel Bond Specialist to assess, underwrite, and monitor financial risks for travel bond portfolios. The role involves financial analysis, risk assessment, portfolio monitoring, regulatory compliance, and supporting business growth while maintaining strong underwriting standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess financial statements, cash flow, and business plans for underwriting decisions.
- Evaluate credit risk, solvency, and financial stability of travel companies.
- Recommend bond limits, pricing, collateral, and risk mitigation measures.
- Conduct due diligence for new and renewal applications.
- Monitor bonded portfolios and identify early warning risk indicators.
- Participate in client visits and prepare risk assessment reports.
- Support claims, insolvency cases, and portfolio reviews.
- Ensure compliance with travel bond regulations and underwriting standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams on underwriting, product, and risk management.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in underwriting, credit risk, financial analysis, or commercial insurance.
- Strong knowledge of financial statement analysis and risk assessment.
- Understanding of surety bonds, financial guarantees, or trade credit insurance.
- Knowledge of travel industry regulations (EU PTD, ATOL, IATA, etc.) is an advantage.
- Advanced Excel skills; SQL, Python, or Power BI is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
- Fluent in Czech and English.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Willingness to travel occasionally.
