Credit Products Leveraged Finance AssociateAt Regions, the Credit Products Leveraged Finance Associate supports Leveraged Finance Credit Products Manager(s) in identifying and mitigating risks in existing and proposed credit products. As a member of the First Line of Defense, the individual will analyze new commercial credit opportunities, underwrite new or renewed credit exposure and manage a portfolio of loans and other credit relationships in conjunction with a Credit Products Manager.Primary ResponsibilitiesPrepares credit approval packages on new and renewed credit products including determination of the appropriate risk rating as well as risk factors that could change the risk rating, analysis of financial performance, performance vs. projections, covenant compliance, relationship profitability (RAROC), and any other significant risk driversAnalyzes guarantors as needed to support credit underwritingAssists the Credit Products Manager with review of loan documents pre-closingReviews closing due diligence in collaboration with and oversight by Credit Products ManagerMaintains credit files including post- closing items (actively manages financial reporting requirements, covenant requirements, past dues and documentation exceptions and ensures credit files are complete with all up to date information)Implements and maintains ticklersMonitors and services portfolio in conjunction with Shared Services supportValidates the appropriate risk rating for a company and proactively identifies risk rating changesIdentifies opportunities for exposure reduction or new opportunities within assigned portfolioDevelops a strong working knowledge of and insures compliance with internal bank commercial loan policy, credit risk management policy, and external regulatory requirements documents any exceptions to policy and provides related rationale/mitigantsThis position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.This position is incentive eligible.RequirementsBachelor's degree in related fieldTwo (2) years of underwriting experience or financial services analysis and accounting experienceAbility to competently complete credit packages and credit services agreements with management oversightRequired Certifications/LicencesCompletion of a major corporate credit training program (or the equivalent corporate banking/corporate finance experience)Skills and CompetenciesAbility to identify and voice issuesDemonstrates analytical and problem solving skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsWell organized, detail-oriented, and is able to multi-taskWorks collaboratively with multiple stakeholdersThis position may be filled at a higher level depending on the candidate's qualifications and relevant experience.At Regions, the Commercial Leveraged Credit Products Associate partners with CLCP Senior Portfolio Managers ("Product Specialists") to lead the underwriting, structuring, execution, and portfolio management of leveraged transactions.
