Commercial Credit Analyst

As a Commercial Credit Analyst, you'll play a key role in evaluating financial data and supporting loan officers in assessing the creditworthiness of business members. You'll be part of a collaborative team working to positively impact and strengthen member businesses. This position offers the opportunity to develop your analytical skills, contribute to portfolio risk management, and grow professionally.

Credit Analysts gain valuable experience that can open the door to next-level roles, including a Commercial Loan Officer, or positions within Consumer or Mortgage Lending.

Analyze financial statements and credit data to assess risk and support commercial lending decisions

Partner with loan officers to evaluate borrower creditworthiness and mitigate potential risks

Prepare and maintain credit files and loan documentation throughout the application process

Assist in creating loan presentations and reports for internal committees

Support portfolio management through annual reviews, due diligence, and risk rating updates

Communicate with borrowers and their advisors to gather financial information and clarify credit matters

Ensure compliance with lending policies and regulatory requirements to protect the credit union's interests

Bachelor's Degree in Business (Accounting, Economics, or Finance preferred) or equivalent experience

Strong competency in basic computer operations and Microsoft Office

Strong communication and grammar skills (written and oral)

Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities

Positivity, team focus, and professionalism in conduct, communication, and appearance

Ability to be bonded

Some local travel to business or member sites as needed
