Credit Analyst IThis position is responsible for analysis and monitoring the financial condition and credit worthiness of individuals and businesses applying for credit by using historical financial analysis and cash flow projections.Major duties and responsibilities include:Analyzing all relevant loan data on new, renewal and existing loansPreparing thorough and concise memos, spreadsheets, reports, summaries and opinions for Loan OfficersManaging the bank's exposure to identified risks and recommending appropriate structure for transactionsOverseeing and managing financial information filesEstablishing, reviewing and updating new and existing loan files for the BankProviding technical advice and assistance to Loan OfficersPerforming credit inquiriesAdditional duties include:Effectively communicating with Loan Officers and Bank ManagementGenerating solutions to problems and suggesting alternative solutions when necessaryContributing to Bank-wide projectsCreating and maintaining solid working relationships with Loan Officers and other team membersAdhering to all company policies, core values and proceduresDemonstrating a genuine interest in learning and working in the banking professionDressing professionallyEmployee specifications:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related fieldMinimum of 1-4 years banking industry experienceSix months experience with credit systemsStrong financial analytical abilities, with knowledge of financial ratiosStrong Excel skillsGood interpersonal, technical, problem solving, and written communication skillsDemonstrates initiative, judgment/discernment and self motivation to work with minimal supervisionDemonstrates resourcefulness and concern for quality by understanding systems and processes and suggesting changes when necessary to increase overall efficiencyDemonstrates dependability through good attendance and adherence to time lines and schedulesFirst United is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
