Graphic DesignerWe are a locally owned printing and marketing company serving businesses, nonprofits, and organizations across multiple industries. As a small, established team, we collaborate closely, move quickly, and take pride in delivering high-quality print and marketing solutions from concept through final production. We are seeking a versatile Graphic Designer who understands both creative design and the technical side of print production. This role goes beyond traditional design — it includes file troubleshooting, prepress preparation, client guidance, and collaboration with production and sales. This position is ideal for someone looking for a long-term opportunity to grow within a specialized and hands-on industry.Position OverviewThis role combines creative development, print production preparation, and client support. A significant portion of this position involves reviewing and adjusting client-supplied artwork to ensure it meets professional print standards. Success in this role requires both creative thinking and technical precision. Great design must also function correctly in production.Key ResponsibilitiesCreate print-ready designs for brochures, signage, banners, vehicle graphics, direct mail, and marketing materialsDevelop branding and collateral for a variety of clientsPrepare accurate proofs and mockups for client approvalMaintain brand consistency across projectsReview client-supplied files for print readinessIdentify and correct issues related to resolution, color mode, bleeds, margins, fonts, scaling, and layoutRebuild or adjust files as needed to meet production specificationsEnsure all files are optimized for digital, large format, or offset printingCommunicate professionally with clients regarding file corrections and improvementsPrepare final production files according to equipment and vendor specificationsCollaborate with the production team to ensure accurate outputTroubleshoot file or output issues when neededMaintain organized file management systemsAssist clients with design and marketing recommendations when appropriateSupport internal marketing initiativesCollaborate with sales team on proposals and visual presentationsParticipate in client discussions regarding creative direction as neededProfessional Development & GrowthWe provide structured, hands-on training in our specialized print production environment. While strong foundational design skills are required, we invest in developing team members who are motivated to grow with the company. Training and development may include:On-the-job training in digital, large format, and specialty print applicationsMentorship in advanced file troubleshooting and production efficiencyExposure to client strategy and real-world marketing challengesIncreasing levels of responsibility based on performance and initiativeOpportunities to expand into leadership or specialized roles over timeThis role is designed for someone interested in building long-term expertise within the print and marketing industry.QualificationsProficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop required)Strong understanding of basic print file setup principlesWorking knowledge of CMYK, resolution requirements, bleeds, and layout structureStrong technical aptitude and willingness to learn specialized production workflowsExcellent attention to detailAbility to manage multiple projects and deadlinesProfessional communication skillsSelf-starter who takes ownership in a small team environmentExperience in a print production environment is preferred but not required. Compensation: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour*AlphaGraphics centers (locations) are independently owned and operated.
