The role
The Creative Director is the organization's lead creative strategist, responsible for shaping and growing its creative vision in support of a broader brand strategy. The role oversees a team of creatives and is accountable for delivering multimedia content and campaigns that raise awareness about global hunger, engage existing donors, and convert new audiences into supporters. - Co-lead cross-functional creative brainstorms with external affairs and other teams to drive audience engagement, donor acquisition, and revenue.
- Mentor and manage the creative team to design interactive digital products (websites, digital media, short-form video) and select print materials, applying best practices in design and technology (front-end development, UX/UI with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP is preferred).
- Develop and execute a comprehensive multimedia content strategy aligned with the organization's 5-year strategic plan, designed to convert audiences into one-time and recurring donors.
- Oversee the evolution and maintenance of brand guidelines covering logos, voice, tone, and visual style, and ensure compliance across the organization.
- Conduct market research and audience analysis to identify brand growth opportunities.
- Manage creative budgets, vendor and agency relationships, timelines, and multiple campaigns simultaneously.
- Establish and track KPIs related to brand health, awareness, engagement, and audience growth, and use performance data (conversion rates, cost per donor, A/B tests) to inform strategic decisions.
- Review and approve brand assets from team members to ensure quality and consistency.
What they are looking for
- Bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual communication, fine arts, advertising, film or media production, communications, marketing, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience); an MFA is preferred.

- 8 to 12 or more years in brand marketing, creative strategy, or donor/audience experience, including at least 4 years managing and developing creative teams.
- Knowledge of editorial, storytelling, and visual functions sufficient to oversee a creative studio.
- Training or certification in motion design, video production, or digital and social content.
- Proven track record of producing high-quality work in-house and managing agencies, freelancers, and pro bono partners.

- Front-end development and UX/UI experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP (highly preferred).
- Strong project management and stakeholder management skills, with demonstrated success managing creative teams and budgets.
- Excellent communication, presentation, writing, grammar, and proofreading skills.
- Highly organized, collaborative, efficient, and flexible self-starter.
