We're posting this role on behalf of our client, a globally recognized manufacturer of PC hardware and gaming peripherals, best known for computer cooling solutions, as well as PC cases, power supplies, keyboards, mice, and other gaming and enthusiast-PC accessories.
Role Overview
We're looking for a Creative Director to help lead the next evolution of the brand as it expands from its roots in PC components and thermal solutions into a broader, premium technology and systems company.
This is a strategic and hands-on creative leadership role for someone who understands how exceptional design, engineering, craftsmanship, and storytelling come together to build a premium global brand.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with premium, design-led physical products — whether in consumer technology, automotive, luxury, consumer electronics, or another highly engineered product category. Gaming experience is not required.
You'll define how the brand should look and feel to consumers globally, shape the creative direction behind a significant pipeline of product launches, and ensure that everything from product storytelling and campaigns to 3D, animation, photography, packaging, and digital content reflects a consistent premium brand vision.
Key Responsibilities
- Global Brand & Creative Direction
Define and evolve the global creative vision as the company transitions toward a more premium, consumer-focused brand. Establish how the brand should look, feel, and communicate across consumer and B2B audiences. Translate the company's technical and engineering strengths into a distinctive and aspirational brand identity. Develop creative standards and principles that can be consistently applied across global markets. Partner closely with senior Marketing leadership to drive the overall brand transformation.
- Product & Launch Creative
Lead creative direction for a significant pipeline of global product launches. Work closely with Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams to translate complex technical features into clear and compelling consumer stories. Develop creative concepts that communicate product innovation, design, performance, materials, and craftsmanship. Help evolve the company's positioning as it expands from individual components into complete systems and broader technology solutions. Ensure product, brand, and marketing creative feel connected across every customer touchpoint.
- Creative Production & Execution
Lead creative development across campaigns, digital, photography, video, animation, 3D, packaging, events, product content, and other brand assets. Provide strategic creative direction while remaining close enough to execution to maintain a consistently high standard of work. Review and guide creative concepts from initial idea through final production. Maintain a strong understanding of graphic design, production, animation, 3D, and relevant creative tools and workflows.
Build and manage a strong network of external creative partners, including agencies, production studios, photographers, animators, 3D specialists, and other vendors. Select the right partners for product launches, campaigns, and global creative projects. Provide clear creative direction and ensure external work meets brand standards, timelines, and business objectives.
- Consumer & B2B Brand Development
Develop a creative system that supports both premium consumer products and the company's growing B2B business, including hyperscale and data center solutions. Adapt creative storytelling for different audiences while maintaining a consistent global brand identity. Work with technical and commercial teams to turn complex capabilities into engaging and visually compelling communications.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in creative direction, brand design, art direction, or a related creative discipline, including experience operating at a senior or leadership level.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating creative leadership for premium, design-led physical products and global brand campaigns.
- Experience in consumer technology, consumer electronics, automotive, luxury, industrial design, or another product-led category.
- Strong understanding of the relationship between product design, engineering, brand, and consumer experience.
- Experience leading creative direction for major product launches and integrated campaigns.
- Strong knowledge of graphic design, photography, video production, animation, 3D, and modern creative production workflows.
- Experience managing agencies, studios, production partners, and specialist creative vendors.
- Ability to operate at both a strategic and hands-on level — setting the creative vision while staying close to execution and production.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills, particularly with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and senior leadership.
- Experience working across global markets and with internationally distributed teams.
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally approximately 15% of the time.
- Based in or willing to relocate to the Los Angeles / City of Industry area and able to work onsite.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience helping reposition or elevate an established brand into a more premium market position.
- Experience with highly engineered or technically complex physical products.
- Experience working across both B2C and B2B brand environments.
- Experience with complete technology systems or products rather than solely individual components.
- Existing network of high-quality creative agencies, production studios, photographers, 3D/CGI specialists, and other creative vendors.
- Experience building or leading an internal creative team.
- Mandarin Chinese language skills are preferred but not required.
- Experience working closely with teams or headquarters in Asia.
