Position Objective
This position is charged with guiding a creative team to cultivate an elevated, cohesive aesthetic across omni-channel initiatives, sharpening WHBM's brand DNA and linking brand, product, and audience to deliver a compelling brand and product narrative across channels.
Responsibilities
- Directs the end-to-end creative workflow from concept through delivery across multiple channels.
- Collaborates with senior leaders to drive concepting, shoot execution, and asset management, ensuring alignment with brand standards.
- Works with creative leaders and senior art directors to plan shoots, covering pre- and post-production, including casting, photographers, locations, and talent in partnership with producers.
- Owns post-shoot brand asset strategy, establishing a clear, on-brand vision to guide the development of omni-channel assets with a unified point of view.
- Develops and presents post-shoot brand assets, ensuring content by channel meets brand objectives while preserving brand integrity.
- Translates marketing objectives into clear, actionable creative strategies.
- Manages the creative workflow for all channels with a hands-on leadership approach.
- Ensures copy and art align to convey the brand story with an elevated, cohesive, and consistent design aesthetic.
- Maintains awareness of current trends, fashion shifts, pop culture, social media, and the competitive landscape.
- Utilizes customer data to inform creative and marketing decisions, partnering with brand marketing to center the customer perspective.
- Partner with cross-functional teams on casting, photography, locations, and talent.
- Collaborates with project managers to establish and maintain product life cycles, deliverables, and deadlines, advocating realistic timelines for quality results.
- Upholds brand individuality and standards across all marketing channels.
- Values the unique talents of the team, communicates expectations, provides guidance, delivers feedback, and empowers team members to excel.
- This role may span multiple brands, with duties that may vary by brand.
Requirements
- BA/BS degree required, preferably in Fine Arts, Graphic Arts, or a related field.
- 8+ years of Art Direction or Creative Direction experience, with fashion and style expertise.
- Experience in vertical retail omni-channel environments is advantageous; deep understanding of fashion, graphic design, copy, and web best practices.
- Proven experience directing still and video shoots, both in studio and on location.
- Strong eye for retail and fashion color management.
- Proficiency on MAC platforms with the Adobe Creative Suite.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Experience leading a creative team and driving collaborative success.
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems quickly and effectively.
