From inventing and producing parts for next-generation space vehicles to evolving vaccine refrigeration, designing functional textures for everyday products, improving renewable energy technology, and much more, we are focused on making what's next possible.Job ResponsibilitiesSub-assemble wooden skids and frames for final assemblyNail and/or staple wood products, laminates, and/or coverings for casesMove wooden material from storage areas and to production lines using either gas or electric-powered forklifts or hand-pulled material handling equipmentUnload incoming trucks of all crate-making lumber and suppliesCut wood for and construct crates for UPS/parts order shipmentsOther duties as assignedPosition is on 2nd Shift (Monday - Friday, 2PM - 10PM), but training on 1st Shift (Monday - Friday, 6AM - 2PM) will be required for a period of timeQualificationsHigh School DiplomaMust be forklift certified for this position (will provide on the job)Ability to be cross trained in other areasWork closely with the Shipping Department for daily crate-making needsPhysical RequirementsAbility to use hand-held vibrating and pneumatic tools (e.g.: air nail gun)Solo lift up to 49 pounds regularlyTeam lift 50-100 pounds frequentlyTeam lift more than 100 pounds occasionallyAbility to stand for extended periods of timeWear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) while performing tasksEqual Opportunity Employer.
