At Sterling Crane USA, you truly get the best of both worlds --the dynamic opportunities that come with being part of a growing, U.S.-based company, combined with the strength, stability, and long-term vision of being part of Marmon and Berkshire Hathaway.Duties and ResponsibilitiesEfficiently and safely operate a variety of specialized machinery in accordance with established procedures and guidelines ensuring the right selection and set up is made regarding crane, lift or hoistInspects and assesses ground conditions as well as any possible overhead obstructionsMaintain equipment through daily inspections, to include performance of routine maintenance and minor repairs.Maintain logs and records of operational activitiesMaintain visual and radio communications with ground operators according to best practices and site safety regulations, and respond to questions and instructions clearly and quicklyPerforms other duties and tasks as assigned.Required Qualifications & SkillsHigh school diploma or equivalentMinimum 3 years experience working with rough terrain cranes, carry decks, crawlers and mobile cranesCurrent TWIC cardSuccessfully pass post offer drug and physical screens and have a background that meets company requirementsDependable and reliable with flexibility to work overtime, when necessaryAbility to read and understand technical drawings, materials or instructionsGood verbal and written communication skills to understand instructions, applicable safety regulations, and to maintain recordsMust have strong ability to work well within a team environment.Physical RequirementsStrong depth perception and quick reaction timeAbility to pick up, lift, carry, and move a minimum of 65lbs.Visual capabilities to follow hand signals, maintain all logs and operate machineryAbility to sit for long periods of timeAbility to work in a variety of weather including extreme heat and coldBenefits PackageDaily Per DiemFollowing receipt of a conditional offer of employment, candidates will be required to complete additional job-related screening processes as permitted or required by applicable law.We are an equal opportunity employer, and all applicants will be considered for employment without attention to their membership in any protected class.
