BAUER Foundation Corp. promotes BAUER services and technology throughout the entire United States.Position DetailsReports to: General Superintendent/SuperintendentPosition: Full timeSchedule: 6 days per week, 12 hours per daySupervisory ResponsibilitiesNoneResponsibilities of this PositionOperates specialized machinery such as telescope booms, lattice booms, and hydraulic cranes.Responsible for operation, setup and daily/weekly maintenance of assigned equipmentResponsible for understanding all functions of the assigned crane equipment and directing the proper setup of equipment in the correct configuration to perform lifting functions safely and within the rated capacity of the assigned crane equipmentExhibits leadership when directing supporting mobilization crews including, riggers, signalpersons and truck drivers during the setup, operation, dismantle and hauling of assigned crane equipmentCustomer focused attitude and problem solving skillsMust make wise and knowledgeable decisions to maintain safe work practices at all timesMaintain, Lubricate and Clean assigned equipment regularlyCoordinate all work in the field with Superintendent and teamDirect and monitor apprentices assigned to the Superintendent or foremans supervisionFollows correct lock-out and tag proceduresComplete daily/weekly inspection logs as required by BauerFuel equipment upon return at the end of each dayLoading and preparing all special rigging and crane accessories or tools required dailyReport all accidents or safety concerns to Superintendent or safety departmentThis position will be required to travel for projects located throughout the United States.RequirementsValid drivers licenseTravelNCCCO or equivalent ANSI/ASME accredited LBC crane operator certificationOSHA 10 Hour Construction Safety TrainingMust be fit for duty, able to navigate the jobsite and must comply with all company safety requirements and site-specific safety rules on the jobsiteAbility to travel for workPhysical RequirementsMust be able to lift up to 40 pounds at timesExcellent depth perception and reaction timeVisual acuity to follow hand signals, maintain logs, as well as inspect and maintain machineryMust be able to access and navigate all areas of the construction site, in all types of weatherMust be able to stand and sit for 10-12 hoursEducation and ExperienceHigh School diploma or equivalent requiredA minimum of 3 years experience operating telescope booms, lattice booms, and/or hydraulic cranesAbility to work independently and on a teamCompensation and BenefitsCompetitive salary; exact compensation commensurate with experience.Benefits offered: health insurance, life insurance, 401(k) plan with employer match, parental leave, tuition assistance, paid holidays and vacation.Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S.
