Key responsibilities: Audit medical records to validate clinical documentation and identify gaps while adhering to quality and production standards Research regulatory and specialty-specific guidelines to support documentation and coding accuracy Prepare detailed audit findings and recommendations to improve documentation practices and coding accuracy Required qualifications: CPC certification required; RHIT or CPMA preferred Minimum of 5 years of auditing experience across multiple specialties Extensive knowledge of AMA, OIG, CMS, and national coding guidelines Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Excel and Word Ability to manage entire projects with a detail-oriented and deadline-driven approach
