To gain hands-on experience in a medical coding environment, a CPC Certified Medical Coder will work remotely as a Medical Coding Assistant, responsible for reconciling electronic professional charges, reviewing missed charges, and performing basic coding reviews and data entry. Key responsibilities Reconcile electronic professional charges for assigned departments through various schedules and reports Complete monthly examinations of missing charges reports and validate charges as assigned Review missed charges and collaborate with coding staff to resolve billing issues, ensuring all EMR charges are accounted for Required qualifications CPC certification and completion of an accredited coding program High school diploma or equivalent Two years of office experience, preferably in a healthcare setting Proficiency with MS Office products and high-level data entry skills Familiarity with medical insurance billing, medical terminology, ICD-10, and CPT coding preferred
