Job Summary

Under the general direction of the Director of IPE, this position plays a key role in supporting the operations and implementation of foundational educational IPE courses (5000 and 6000 series) as well as other team‑based IPE activities. While based in Oregon, the role has significant in‑person responsibilities and requires regular on‑site presence at both the CHS and COMP Northwest buildings. During the IPE academic semesters, the position will be approximately 60% in‑person and 40% remote, with the in‑person work focused on directly supporting students, faculty, and staff with related IPE activities. Outside of the academic semesters, the role is expected to shift to a 50/50 split between in‑person and remote work, though in‑person engagement will remain an essential component throughout the year.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development, coordination of content, dissemination, implementation, assessment, and other related curricular activities of all foundational IPE courses (5000 and 6000 level courses).
  • Serve as Lebanon campus‑based IPE team member.
  • Assist with the development of activities, research, presentations, and/or publications for future IPE projects and development.
  • Participate in conducting research for dissemination (presentations and/or publications) related to IPE.
  • Complete all other IPE‑related tasks assigned by the IPE Program Director.

Required Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Interprofessional Practice and Education (IPE) literature.
  • Knowledge of educational pedagogy related to interprofessional education, case‑based learning, team‑based learning, problem‑based learning, design of student‑centered learning experiences, and faculty needs related to implementation of evidence‑supported best practices.
  • Ability to design didactic, small or large group, team‑based, experiential, and clinical education programming.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to address a diverse population.
  • Ability to effectively interact with administration, faculty, staff, students, and external stakeholders such as community leaders.
  • Ability to write technical and non‑technical reports in clear language that can be understood by all.
  • Strong academic skills, including faculty and student development.
  • Ability to collaborate in a teamwork environment with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to lead activities in a manner that is both engaging and effective with small or large student cohort settings.
  • Strong computer skills to set up document formats in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and any other software program required by this position.
  • Ability to receive and respond to constructive feedback in a professional and adaptive manner.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to working for an organization that values and promotes Humanism.
  • A clinical doctorate or equivalent highest‑level degree, as defined by the standards of the applicant’s specific health profession.
  • Five years of clinical related work.
  • Three to five years of experience with interprofessional settings.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in higher education and/or an academic health center setting.

Work Schedule and Location

  • Position is 0.50 FTE; days/hours will be determined by Director of IPE.
  • Oregon based position.

Physical Demands

Essential functions may require lifting less than 25 lbs. The work environment includes moderate noise levels in a home office setting for remote duties and allows for long periods of standing and engaging audiences for in‑person duties. No dedicated IPE office space; employees use open areas such as desks and work‑friendly environments and may commute between campuses as needed.

Pay Transparency

Maximum salary: $72,000 annually. Minimum salary: $72,000 annually. The expected pay scale reflects experience, skills, and qualifications.
