Overview
We are looking for a dependable Courier Driver based in Stamford, CT to pick up and deliver packages, equipment, and materials for our team and partners. You’ll use your own vehicle, so reliable transportation is a requirement of the job.
Responsibilities
- Pick up and deliver items on time between (partner locations, event sites, offices, and customers) throughout the Stamford area and surrounding region
- Load, secure, and unload packages and equipment safely
- Follow delivery schedules and routes, and notify the team of delays or issues right away
- Obtain signatures or confirmation of delivery when required
- Handle items with care, including (high-value or fragile items such as jewelry and watches, if applicable)
- Keep accurate records of hours worked and business mileage
- Operate your vehicle safely and follow all traffic laws
Requirements
- Must have a reliable personal vehicle in good working order
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Current auto insurance that meets or exceeds Connecticut’s minimum coverage (proof required at hire)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Strong time management, communication, and professionalism
- Flexibility to work (days / evenings / weekends as needed)
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior courier, delivery, or logistics experience
- Familiarity with Fairfield County and the Tri-State highway network
- Comfort using a smartphone for routing and delivery updates
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay: $20.00 per hour
- Mileage reimbursement: $0.75 per mile for business travel
- Tolls: Company-provided E-ZPass for business travel
