n( POSTING TO FILL MULTIPLE POSITIONS )
nProvide counseling and counseling-related services to university students. Also, provide mental health consultation and outreach services to the university community.

nWorking knowledge of the practices, procedures, processes and/or protocols for the provision of counseling services in a mental health agency or college or university counseling center. Working knowledge of college student development.
nSpecial licenses, registration or certification
nLicensed in VA as a licensed professional counselor, psychologist or social worker.
nEducation or training
nMaster’s degree in a mental health field, counseling, social work or psychology.
nInternship at a University/College Counseling Services or mental health agency.
nCompletion of graduate internship at a mental health agency.
nLevel and type of experience
nExperience in a mental health or private setting providing mental health treatment services to young adults.
nAdditional Considerations (supplemental knowledge, skills, abilities, education, experience, licensure, certification)
nDoctoral degree in counseling, social work or psychology.
nConditions of Employment
nHourly (wage) employees are restricted to working 29 hours per week on average or 1500 hours in total in the May 1 – April 30 period. This position does not have health insurance, retirement or leave.
nThese part-time positions work 20 hours per week for nine-month terms during the academic year.
nLicensed in the state of Virginia in good standing.
nThis is not a remote position.
