Onsite Full Time Community and Social Service Occupations

Counselor/LPHA DC performs clinical services including psychosocial assessments, treatment planning, discharge planning, and individual/group counseling. Works closely with RN and other treatment team members to develop the most appropriate strategies for individuals at the crisis treatment center. Counselors may assist with interventions as needed with individuals experiencing challenging behaviors.
EXAMPLE OF WORK PERFORMED

  • Perform crisis and substance abuse counseling per community mental health standards.
  • Assist in maintaining a therapeutic environment at the Diversion Center.
  • Develop an after-care plan for the individual to return to the community.
  • Provide feedback to the treatment team including physicians on behalf of the individual.
  • Maintain timely documentation.
Education and experience:
Position requires a master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or other closely related fields. License required for LPHA - LPC/LCSW/LMFT or licensure candidate.
One year case management experience preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Ability and skill to communicate verbally or written with staff, individuals, families, and community agencies.
  • Must be knowledgeable of community resources for possible referrals.
  • Must have knowledge of psychiatric disorders and best practice models of treatment.
  • Must have excellent computer skills and knowledge.
  • They must have reliable transportation and be able to travel as needed.
  • Intervenes with verbal and physical interventions as required within the guidelines of PMAB.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Must have excellent time management skills and organizational skills.
  • Must have knowledge to do clinical documentation.
  • Must have assessment/diagnostic evaluations skills.
Position: 316
Hours : Alternating 12 hours shifts 8am-8pm
Salary : Annually $52,566-$65,000 Hourly $ -$ **Depending on Education/licensure**
