COUNSELOR | $30.00 per hour
Position Summary
The Counselor will receive and manage referrals directly from Adult Protective Services (APS), conduct in-depth assessments, and provide direct support and advocacy to clients—particularly older adults. This role emphasizes trauma-informed care, client-centered practices, and empowering individuals to achieve their self-directed goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and manage referrals from Adult Protective Services (APS).
- Conduct in-depth assessments to identify client needs, strengths, and goals.
- Apply trauma-informed care and client-centered practices.
- Perform required home visits and community-based interactions.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential records.
- Provide direct support and advocacy for clients, especially older adults.
- Collaborate with internal teams and community partners.
- Work at additional locations as needed.
- Must possess a valid Texas Driver's License.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a social or behavioral science. (Sociology, Psychology, Social Work, or Counseling).
Experience: Two (2) years of professional counseling or related social services experience
required. Master's degree in a social or behavioral science may substitute for the experience requirement.
