Job description:
nOverview Talin Home Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our dynamic team. The COTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide high-quality care to patients across various settings, including pediatrics, outpatient services, skilled nursing facilities, and acute care environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of anatomy and physiology, as well as experience in developing and implementing care plans that enhance patients' functional abilities and improve their quality of life.
nDuties
nAssist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans as directed by the Occupational Therapist.
nProvide therapeutic interventions to patients focusing on Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) to promote independence.
nConduct assessments and document patient progress in accordance with established protocols.
nCollaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
nEducate patients and their families about treatment goals and strategies for home exercises.
nMaintain accurate records of patient treatments, progress notes, and any changes in condition.
nAdhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
nQualifications
nCertification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
nKnowledge of medical terminology related to occupational therapy practices.
nExperience or familiarity with home healthcare, outpatient therapy, skilled nursing facilities, or acute care settings is preferred.
nStrong understanding of anatomy and physiology relevant to therapeutic practices.
nAbility to implement effective care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
nExcellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
