Cost EngineerPosition Summary: We're hiring for an experienced Cost Engineer. We're looking for reliable and hard-working individuals that take pride in their work. The Cost Engineer is responsible for ensuring that the costs of all construction and spending projects are recorded and tracked accurately and timely, and providing relevant reporting to project managers and senior management.Responsibilities:Oversee internal control policies, recommending changes when neededCoordinate with management teams to ensure accuracy within the accounting systemMaintaining annual budgetsManage and review month and year general ledger accountsProvide accounting information and guidance to senior managementPerform quantity take-offsOverview and prepare details for new project bids including specific scope of work and comprehensive bid package informationCoordinate and maintain vendor compliance with contractsPerform pre-bid site walksOther duties may be assignedRequirements:Cost accounting and budgeting experience requiredExcellent written and oral communication skillsAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyConstruction industry experience preferredExceptional computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and related accounting softwareAptitude for financial data, able to input data accurately, review and identify errors
