Cost Engineer Raymond, OH Pay:$47+/- 8+ MONTHS
- Evaluate product designs for manufacturability and cost
- Develop should-cost models (piece + investment) using aPriori and other cost model solutions
- Support RFQ activities and supplier cost evaluations
- Track cost impacts from design changes
- Support negotiations with cost analysis
- Identify VA/VE and cost reduction opportunities
- Maintain cost tracking/reporting tools
Inputs
- Spec requirements, timing, cost targets
- CAD/BOM data, supplier quotes
Parameters:
Timeframe: June 2026 - March 2027 (extendable)
Workload: ~1 FTE (~ hrs)
Hybrid Work: ~80% Onsite
Travel Requirements: < 5%
Required Skills:
- Cost engineering & manufacturing knowledge (injection molding, metal stamping and fabrication, thermoforming, assembly, etc.)
- Should-cost modeling experience
- Excel / reporting tools
