Cost EngineerThe Cost Engineer is responsible for financial tracking, analysis and reporting of project costs, revenue, and profit. Ability to analyze and communicate data in a meaningful way is a key to success.Responsibilities:Responsible for reporting project level monthly closing of job cost and analysis of variations.Collects and tracks progress of work through quantities to be used in billing and progress reviews.Preparation of the forecast every four months, including setting targets for revenue, profit, billing and collections.Preparation and analysis of the following reports to ensure they accurately reflect the current project status: monthly cost report, weekly labor and equipment tracking, trimester forecast reporting, and annual audit requests.Preparation of billing requisition to be submitted to the owner at the end of each month.Preparation of periodic payments, accrual entries, and contract modifications for subcontractors and vendors.Recaps and prepares Time and Material submittals for payment.Estimates and prepares change proposals.Provides assistance and knowledge regarding budget structure for the field teams.Performs other related duties as required and assigned.Qualifications:Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or related fieldFinancial background or education2-3 years experience in highway, bridge, rail, and public constructionExperience with self-perform workCapable of tracking multiple projectsAptitude for data analysis and computationAdvanced knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office applicationsAbility to organize and manage multiple prioritiesDemonstrated verbal and written communication and presentation skillsMust work well in a collaborative environmentMust have strong time management skillsExperience with tracking software like HeavyJob is a plusRegistration/Certificates such as Certified Cost Professional (CCP) are a plus.Compensation Range: $80,000- $110,000
