Cost Accountant – Mishawaka, IN
Salary: $63,000 – $80,000 annually

About the Company and Cost Accountant Opportunity:

• CFS is partnering with a well-established company in Mishawaka to hire a Cost Accountant

• This Cost Accountant will manage cost accounting duties like analyzing product costs, tracking variance, and helping leadership make data-backed decisions about profitability

• The right Cost Accountant will be detail-oriented, enjoy digging into numbers, and be the go-to person for all things cost, margin, and inventory

• Position is fully in-office in Mishawaka, IN| Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

Job Duties of the Cost Accountant:

• Analyze manufacturing/product cost and cost of goods sold to determine room for improvement

• Prepare monthly cost reports, perform variance analysis, and reconcile cost-related accounts

• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and margin analysis for new or existing products

• Collaborate with operations, purchasing, and production teams to capture and control costs

• Ensure accurate inventory valuation and periodic inventory reconciliations

• Support audit and compliance efforts related to cost accounting

Qualifications for the Cost Accountant:

• 2-4 years of cost accounting or manufacturing accounting experience required

• Strong ability with accounting software and Microsoft Excel (look for experience with cost modules)

• Attention to detail, analytical mindset, and strong problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication skills—ability to explain cost issues to non-finance colleagues
