The primary manufacturing processes are injection molding and thermoforming. This role ensures accurate cost allocation, monitors inventory and manufacturing expenses, and provides financial insights that support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision-making. This position plays a key role in helping the company maintain cost efficiency and improve overall profitability.Maintain and analyze standard costs for products and servicesComplete daily settlement of production orders and inventory adjustmentsPrepare cost accounting reports and financial analysesMonitor inventory transactions and reconcile inventory accountsConduct monthly, quarterly, and annual cost variance analysesAnalyze manufacturing, labor, material, and overhead costsAssist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activitiesReview and validate bills of materials (BOMs) and routing informationSupport month-end and year-end closing processesEnsure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and internal controlsPrepare journal entries related to inventory and cost accountingInvestigate cost discrepancies and recommend corrective actionsCollaborate with operations, procurement, production, and finance teams to improve cost efficiencyDevelop and maintain cost accounting procedures and documentationGenerate management reports highlighting cost trends and performance metricsPerform other duties as assignedExperience in manufacturing, distribution, or production environments.Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and inventory accountingKnowledge of standard costing, activity-based costing (ABC), and variance analysisStrong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skillsExcellent attention to detail and accuracyEffective communication and interpersonal skillsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.2–5 years of accounting or cost accounting experienceKnowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systemsExperience with business intelligence and reporting tools.Plastic Molding Technology does not accept unsolicited resumes from staffing agencies or third-party recruiters.
