Cost AccountantWe are seeking a driven, detail-oriented Cost Accountant to join our growing manufacturing company of 400+ employees headquartered in Brookville, PA. This position plays a critical role in the financial health of our business — owning cost integrity, inventory accuracy, and margin reporting across all manufacturing locations. The right candidate will go beyond the numbers, partnering closely with operations, engineering, and finance to understand our processes, identify cost drivers, and influence real business outcomes.What You'll DoPrepare and analyze weekly and monthly gross margin reporting by customer, product line, and jobAnalyze estimated versus actual manufacturing costs and communicate insights and recommendations to operations and leadershipOwn COGS validation and support month-end close, including journal entries, inventory valuation, and account reconciliationsLead inventory control initiatives and oversee cycle count and physical inventory programsMaintain costing structures within the ERP system, including BOMs, routings, labor standards, and overhead ratesPartner cross-functionally with operations, production, engineering, and supply chain to identify root causes of variances and implement corrective actionsSupport internal and external reporting requirements, including audit support and management reportingWhat We're Looking ForA proactive, hands-on accountant who enjoys working alongside operations and understanding manufacturing processes firsthandSomeone who moves beyond reporting to identify cost drivers, improve inventory accuracy, and influence operational and financial outcomesA team member who balances financial accuracy with practical operational insight and a continuous improvement mindsetRequirementsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldMinimum 3 years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment; 5+ years preferredExperience with inventory valuation, weighted average costing, and variance analysis in a multi-facility operationStrong knowledge of manufacturing cost structures including material, labor, and overhead allocationProficiency in ERP systems (IFS preferred) and advanced Microsoft Excel skillsWorking knowledge of GAAP as applied to manufacturing and inventory accountingCPA or CMA preferredAbility to travel between plant locations as needed (less than 10% overnight travel)Why Miller Fabrication SolutionsMiller Fabrication Solutions is a growing, performance-driven manufacturing company committed to investing in our people and building a culture where contributions are recognized and rewarded.
