Cosmology Problem Designer for AI Benchmarking

Mercor seeks a Computational Astrophysics & Cosmology Expert to design graduate‑level problems that test AI systems on real scientific workflows. You will run simulations, interpret results, and craft experiments using Python and astrophysical libraries, especially Astropy, in Linux environments.

You’ll work independently, iterate on problem design, and refine tasks based on feedback from state-of-the-art models. A PhD or equivalent research experience in astrophysics or cosmology is preferred.
