They ensure the continuous, efficient, and safe production of high-quality material.ResponsibilitiesKnows and fully comprehends all critical aspects of the corrugator including its operation, necessary preventative maintenance, and set up requirementsMaintains all production and scrap goals consistentlyAnalyzes all mechanical or operationally problems on the corrugator then plans for and takes proper corrective actionMake all necessary corrections and running adjustments to ensure top quality, low scrap, and consistent productivity. (IE-cleans and adjusts the corrugator rolls, adjusts the air pressure, adjusts rider rolls, clean belt and hotplates and adjust the short pressTest equipment to check proper operation and all safety devices are functionalExamines tests and measures finished product form the corrugator making sure it meets or exceeds customer Quality/Functional expectationsMake preventative maintenance checks, and inspections of assigned equipment within the corrugating area, reporting findings shift manager and maintenance supervisor and takes the appropriate actionsExamines defects and analyzes spoilage/scrap causes taking corrective action as necessary and requesting help as neededCoaches' helper and stackers on all operating procedures and critical customer requirementsNotifies maintenance supervisor of all corrective actions taken, of all difficult unresolved problems and supplies neededCoaches/Instructs any corrugator operator trainees assignedQualificationsHigh School Diploma or GEDMust be a team player with a "can do" attitudeShould possess basic mechanical skillsCapable of working in hot environment and in areas where inks and lubricants are usedBe capable of standing for long periods of timeFrequently lift and carry 25 lbs.
