Corrugate LeadA growing manufacturing and packaging company is seeking a Corrugate Lead to oversee daily operations within its corrugating department. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for supporting production employees, coordinating workflow, performing machine setups and adjustments, troubleshooting equipment issues, and ensuring production goals are achieved safely and efficiently.The ideal candidate has experience operating corrugating or converting equipment, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to lead by example in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Success in this role will be measured by production uptime, product quality, safety performance, workflow efficiency, and team productivity.Responsibilities Include:Lead and support a team of corrugate production employees during assigned shiftsSet up corrugating equipment according to job specifications and production requirementsReview production orders to ensure materials, tooling, and resources are available before starting jobsOperate and monitor corrugating equipment to maintain safe and efficient productionMake machine adjustments to ensure proper quality, dimensions, scoring, cutting, and glue applicationTroubleshoot routine equipment and production issues to minimize downtimePerform minor machine repairs and communicate larger maintenance concerns to the appropriate personnelMonitor production speeds, waste levels, downtime, and overall machine performanceCoordinate production changeovers and help maintain an efficient production scheduleInspect finished products to ensure compliance with customer specifications and company quality standardsIdentify quality concerns and implement corrective actions when necessaryComplete production reports, documentation, and operational records accuratelyTrain and support new employees on equipment operation, safety procedures, and quality expectationsAssign work, prioritize tasks, and provide day-to-day direction to production team membersPromote a safe, productive, and professional work environmentCommunicate production needs, material shortages, equipment issues, and workflow concerns to supervisorsMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work areaCollaborate with production, maintenance, and management teams to meet operational goalsPerform other duties as assigned by managementQualifications:Previous experience operating corrugating equipment, converting machinery, or related manufacturing equipment requiredPrevious lead, team lead, or supervisory experience preferredStrong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issuesExperience performing machine setups, adjustments, and minor repairsAbility to read and interpret production orders, work instructions, and specificationsStrong attention to detail and commitment to product qualityAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentExcellent communication and leadership skillsBasic math skills and understanding of production measurementsStrong problem-solving and decision-making abilitiesAbility to lift, move, and handle materials as requiredAbility to stand, walk, bend, reach, and work around production equipment for extended periodsCompensation & Benefits:Starting pay of $23.50 per hour, with overtime opportunitiesMedical, dental, vision, and life insurance benefits401(k), paid time off (PTO), and paid holidaysCareer advancement opportunities, leadership development, and ongoing trainingAbout the Company:Our client is a growing manufacturing and packaging organization committed to delivering high-quality products and exceptional service to its customers.
