Job TitlePerform basic field testing of corrosion control systems on underground and submerged metallic structures. Recommend troubleshooting tests and identify when such testing is required.This is not an entry-level field technician position. Professional corrosion control/cathodic protection experience is required.Core ResponsibilitiesWork independently, make field decisions without direct supervision and be responsible for obtaining field data to determine condition of structures under evaluation.Compile and submit field data for senior staff review.Be familiar with standard survey and construction practices for corrosion control projects.Estimate duration for both engineering and construction projects.Organize and perform multiple small projects simultaneously.Develop test procedures for complex troubleshooting.Evaluate field data and prepare draft reports for the area supervisor.Minimum QualificationsGovernment contracts require U.S.
CitizenshipDemonstrated verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work independently as well as interact with team members, clients and management staff.Ability/willingness to travel as required for the job.Clean driving record and ability to operate a company vehicleThis position may require significant time standing or walking on uneven ground, possible climbing of ladders or being in high places, working in tight spaces, lifting up to 50 pounds, and, in general, being overall physically demanding.
