Correspondent Associate Credit AnalystThe Associate Credit Analyst position is a pivotal role, serving as the dedicated single point of contact for Correspondent Lending clients. The primary goal of the Associate Credit Analyst is assisting the Correspondent Lenders in clearing suspense conditions and identifying bottlenecks that would delay their pipelines from being purchased timely. This critical position significantly contributes to maintaining Citibank's commitment to superior credit quality, an outstanding customer experience, and operational excellence.
It requires a highly detail-oriented individual with strong problem-solving abilities, exceptional communication skills, and a dedication to client advocacy in a fast-paced lending environment.Key Responsibilities:Serve as a single point of contact for Correspondent Lenders, providing guidance and support throughout the suspense condition resolution process.Review and clear income, asset, and credit documentation submitted to address suspense conditions in accordance with both Agency and Non-Agency guidelines.Monitor, maintain, and manage a daily pipeline, ensuring adherence to service level agreements and timely completion of reviews.Review mortgage documentation from application through closing with comprehensive knowledge of the end-to-end origination process.Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including RESPA and TILA.Deliver exceptional customer service by working rebuttals, escalations and scenarios submitted by the Correspondent Lender.Support Account Executives by contributing to client-relationship strategies and maintaining strong working partnerships with Correspondent Lenders.Complete a pre-funding review to assist with purchasing loans.Maintain production and quality standards as defined by the business.Qualifications:Minimum 3 years of mortgage industry experienceExperience with FNMA and FHLMC underwriting requirementsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environmentHigh attention to detail and strong analytical skillsEducation:Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experienceThis job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
