About the Position: These positions serve as seasoned-level professional program roles within the Mississippi Department of Corrections at Central Mississippi Correctional Facility. Correctional Program Team Lead is a professional supervisor of correctional case management positions or correctional programs. Employees at this level perform work in a specialized unit or area for offenders with special needs, or in coordinating the placement and transfer of offenders. Accountable for obtaining and verifying information from incarcerated adult offenders and evaluating offenders' institutional adjustment, attitudes toward society, and offenders release plans. Employees work on complex cases; prepare reports on incarcerated offenders; and make recommendations for job assignments, facility transfers, and recommend disciplinary actions.
What you'll need to be Successful: Must be able to abide by rules and regulations and procedures governing the workplace and ensure the safety security and order of the facility.
Preferred Qualifications: Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and 4 or more years of relevant experience. Hiring agency prefers: experience working in a Correctional facility or county jail around offender.
