Corporate Security Officer

Overview

Custom Protective Services in Connecticut is looking for qualified Security Officers. To maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and employees by patrolling and monitoring premises and personnel.

Responsibilities

• Patrol premises and monitor surveillance equipment; inspect buildings, equipment, and access points; control entry to facilities.
• Sound alarms to obtain help when needed.
• Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities; inform violators of policy and procedures; restrain trespassers as required.
• Complete reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interview witnesses; obtain signatures.
• Maintain environment by monitoring and controlling building and equipment systems.
• Ensure operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Skills and Qualifications

• Current Connecticut Security License.
• Computer skills, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, and typing.
• High school Diploma / GED.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Job Type

• Full-time. Pay: From $16.50 per hour.
