Job Summary

Hodgson Russ LLP, a dynamic and leading AmLaw 200 firm known for its excellence and innovation in legal services, is seeking an attorney to join its Corporate & Securities practice group in the Firm's Buffalo, Albany, Saratoga Springs, Rochester, New York City, or Palm Beach offices.

Qualifications

• Experience advising complex mergers and acquisitions, private equity, venture capital, or corporate governance.
• Ability to manage multiple matters, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient leader who excels in client service, team development, and practice growth.
• Preferred candidate will have a portable book of business and bring a client portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee complex mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, financings, and other strategic corporate transactions.
• Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and identifying opportunities to expand and deepen client engagements across practice areas.
• Collaborate with attorneys across multiple practice groups to deliver integrated legal solutions for clients in connection with complex transactions, regulatory challenges, and strategic business initiatives.
• Counsel clients on corporate governance, fiduciary duties, entity formation, restructuring initiatives, succession planning, compliance obligations, and other business-critical legal matters.
• Supervise, mentor and develop associates and counsel within the Corporate & Securities practice group.
• Contribute to firm leadership initiatives, strategic planning, and business development efforts.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Excellent technical, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other practice areas to provide comprehensive solutions to clients.

A competitive compensation and comprehensive benefit package, including medical, dental, vision, life, long term disability, flexible spending, 401(k), Paid Time Off, pension plan, and more. At this time, the good faith estimate of the annual salary range for this position, if the successful applicant is based in Buffalo, Albany, Saratoga Springs, Rochester, New York City, or Palm Beach, is $175,000 to $450,000. This range is not applicable to other locations.
