Corporate Traveler – MDS Coordinator (RN)

Healthbridge Staffing is seeking an experienced and dynamic Corporate Traveler – MDS Coordinator (RN) to support skilled nursing centers throughout the Indianapolis region . This role is ideal for an experienced MDS professional who is passionate about mentoring, troubleshooting, and providing hands-on clinical reimbursement support to facilities in need.

This position is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving complex reimbursement and compliance challenges, and takes pride in helping MDS teams succeed across multiple locations.

Candidate Requirements (Must-Have)

  • Must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Indianapolis, IN area.

  • Must hold an active Registered Nurse (RN) license.

  • Must be willing to travel throughout the assigned region, including overnight travel as needed.

What You'll Do

  • Provide hands-on support to skilled nursing facilities requiring assistance with MDS assessments and care planning.

  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, Medicare requirements, PDPM, case-mix optimization, reimbursement accuracy, and billing compliance.

  • Mentor, train, and support new or transitioning MDS Coordinators to strengthen clinical reimbursement teams.

  • Collaborate closely with Regional Clinical Reimbursement leadership to assess facility needs and implement best practices.

  • Work in a hybrid capacity, balancing remote support with on-site visits based on operational needs.

  • Assist facilities during staffing transitions, audits, survey preparation, and periods of high census.

  • Travel throughout the assigned region, including overnight stays when necessary.

Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required.

  • Extensive knowledge of MDS 3.0, PDPM, Medicare regulations, reimbursement compliance, case-mix management, and resident care planning.

  • Previous experience as an MDS Coordinator in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting required.

  • Experience mentoring, training, or supporting MDS teams strongly preferred.

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to travel frequently throughout the assigned region.
