Healthbridge Staffing is seeking an experienced and dynamic Corporate Traveler – MDS Coordinator (RN) to support skilled nursing centers throughout the Indianapolis region . This role is ideal for an experienced MDS professional who is passionate about mentoring, troubleshooting, and providing hands-on clinical reimbursement support to facilities in need.
This position is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving complex reimbursement and compliance challenges, and takes pride in helping MDS teams succeed across multiple locations.
Candidate Requirements (Must-Have)
Must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Indianapolis, IN area.
Must hold an active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Must be willing to travel throughout the assigned region, including overnight travel as needed.
What You'll Do
Provide hands-on support to skilled nursing facilities requiring assistance with MDS assessments and care planning.
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, Medicare requirements, PDPM, case-mix optimization, reimbursement accuracy, and billing compliance.
Mentor, train, and support new or transitioning MDS Coordinators to strengthen clinical reimbursement teams.
Collaborate closely with Regional Clinical Reimbursement leadership to assess facility needs and implement best practices.
Work in a hybrid capacity, balancing remote support with on-site visits based on operational needs.
Assist facilities during staffing transitions, audits, survey preparation, and periods of high census.
Travel throughout the assigned region, including overnight stays when necessary.
Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
Extensive knowledge of MDS 3.0, PDPM, Medicare regulations, reimbursement compliance, case-mix management, and resident care planning.
Previous experience as an MDS Coordinator in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting required.
Experience mentoring, training, or supporting MDS teams strongly preferred.
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to travel frequently throughout the assigned region.
