Job Overview

A law firm seeks a mid-senior level M&A associate attorney to join its business practice group in Cleveland, OH. The ideal candidate will have four to eight years of experience in transactional and general corporate work, with a focus on M&A and corporate documents.

Duties

• Advise corporate clients on acquisitions, dispositions, minority investments, and general corporate legal issues.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys to draft and negotiate transaction documents.
• Manage deal progress, providing strategic insights and navigating complex structures.
• Develop and maintain strong advisory relationships with clients.
• Manage multiple projects independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborate across offices with a busy corporate transactional practice.
• Engage in business development activities.

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
• At least four years of experience practicing law in a law firm and in-house environment.
• Active law license in Ohio.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent analytical skills and business judgment.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Permanent authorization to work in the United States.
