A law firm seeks a mid-level associate to join its Corporate M&A and Securities Practice in Austin, TX. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience focusing on M&A and private equity transactions.
Duties
- Draft and negotiate acquisition agreements and related documentation.
- Support private equity sponsors and portfolio companies throughout the investment lifecycle.
- Manage internal and external client relationships effectively.
Requirements
- 2 to 5 years of relevant experience.
- Licensed or eligible for licensure in the jurisdiction of the hiring office.
- Reside in the designated jurisdiction at or prior to the time of hire.
- Work in the office at least three business days per week.
Education
- JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
Certifications
- Bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction.
Skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- High degree of maturity and business sense.
- Familiarity with middle-market deal structures preferred.
