Corporate Machine Project EngineerAmcor is seeking a high-energy, data-driven Engineering leader to coordinate across internal teams, suppliers, and global manufacturing sites. This role will drive standardized reliability programs, building structured, detail-oriented processes to improve asset performance and consistency. The position will guide injection machine selection through data-based decision-making, balancing standardization with operational flexibility. It will also develop robust tools, metrics, and analytics to prioritize capital, optimize equipment, and identify training needs.Responsibilities include using caution and supporting facility systems to assure safety event free facilities, responding to any emergency or potential emergency following established procedures, observing, responding, and reporting any instance of process or product non-conformity, maintaining control of key cards, preventing unauthorized entry to facilities by non-Berry employees, and proper maintenance/security of Berry equipment.
The role also involves successfully completing primary duties and associated training.Authorities include pausing activity and notifying the Safety lead in any facility regarding instances of potentially unsafe work environments or employee and supplier practices, initiating action to prevent occurrences of any non-conformity of product or quality systems, initiating, recommending, or providing solutions through designated channels, and suggesting actions for continuous improvement to products, processes, facilities, or systems and implementing solutions.Primary duties consist of always working with safety as the primary goal, adhering to Berry, industry, and/or regulatory procedures, assisting teams in further development and implementation of standardized Machine Reliability & Monitoring programs, collecting data to help prioritize capital spend, equipment needs, and training needs to improve machine reliability and increase up time, guiding corporate injection machine selection, supporting purchasing of machines, and coordination of machine moves, leading capital projects from concept, to quoting, and implementation through final review, and participating in training and developing training in areas of reliability, preventative and predictive maintenance.Qualifications/education required include a Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience, plastics industry and/or reliability, TPM experience preferred, proficiency with Microsoft tools, advanced Excel expertise preferred, experience with Power Apps, Sharepoint, other data analytics or dashboarding tools a plus, being process driven, detailed, and very organized, strong time management and communication skills (written and verbal), ability to manage multiple projects and meet timelines, being assertive, creative, and data driven, and ability to travel as needed, up to 25% of the time.
