Corporate Lawyer

LHH is partnering with a highly respected Midwest-based law firm seeking an experienced Corporate Attorney to join its growing business law practice. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney who is comfortable taking ownership of sophisticated transactions and can manage M&A matters with a significant degree of independence, but who is not interested in developing a book of business of their own.

Highlights of the role:

• Lead and manage mergers and acquisitions transactions from letter of intent through closing
• Draft, review, and negotiate purchase agreements and related transaction documents
• Advise business clients on corporate governance, entity formation, and general corporate matters
• Work directly with business owners, executives, and other key decision-makers
• Collaborate with a sophisticated team while maintaining substantial client contact and autonomy
• Ability to be a Senior Attorney or Non-Equity Partner at the outset, depending on experience level

Qualified Candidates will have:

• Five or more (5+) years of corporate and transactional experience, including meaningful exposure to M&A
• Ability to independently run deals and manage transaction timelines
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and client counseling skills
• Admission to practice in Ohio or ability to obtain admission
• Option to be on site in Columbus, OH, hybrid, or remote
